POINT SOURCES
Point sources are used as calibration sources for scanner set-up and periodic scanner calibration. They are also used as spot markers to identify anatomical points of interest and as transmission sources for attenuation correction Pigs and PET Sourcesmeasurements. The radioactive element is typically 1 to 2 mm in diameter and is located inside one end of a stainless steel tube. Custom activities and geometries are available for special orders.
